the team
Ronald Ashri, from Cyprus and married to an Italian, has more than 12 years of web application development expertise. He holds a BSc in Computer Systems Engineering and a PhD in Computer Science. He has authored and co-authored several books and articles on a range of distributed networking issues. Before moving to Sicily and embarking on the journey that led to the creation of Istos srl, Ronald was a Research Fellow at the University of Southampton collaborating with a variety of research departments, including BT Research Labs, SRI International and IT Innovation. Andrea Poidomani was born and grew up in Modica, Sicily and holds a Computer Science degree from the University of Torino. Whilst studying for his undergraduate degree he also spend a year at the Politecnico of Madrid. After working for several years for IVECO srl as a technology consultant he has gained considerable experience in web development which he is further refining at Istos srl. Follow Andrea on Twitter.
Katia Amore was born and grew up in Modica, Sicily, and lived in Venice and the UK. She holds a BA in Middle Eastern Studies from Ca' Foscari University, a Master and PhD in Ethnic Studies and a Certificate in Journalism from the University of Warwick. After several years working as a researcher in the UK she decided to return to Sicily and follow her passion for food making her dream come true: restoring her grandparents house and starting her own cookery school - loveSicily. Nicolò Caruso was born and grew up in Ispica, Sicily, and holds a first class degree with distinction in Computer Engineering from the University of Catania. Since an early age, he developed a passion for technology and for computer science in particular. During and after his studies, he focused on web development, skills that he is now pursuing further and perfecting while working for ISTOS.
