Mapping Global Media Policy
Istos was tasked with transforming the research-led demands for inserting, categorising and analysing information into a website that can easily be independently managed. The project is currently at its first-phase of enabling the entry and search of data while next steps envision sophisticated visualization of data, semantic analysis and the automatic uncovering of relevant information through an analysis of the relationships between the various records in the system.

Mapping Global Media Policy is an independent project supported by an academic consortium led by Media@McGill and including McGill University, University of Padova and Central European University. The website provides a means to identify actors, processes, outcomes and resources through sophisticated entry, search and mapping tools.
Technical Details:
This is a Drupal 6 website that makes heavy use of Views, CCK and Solr with extensive customisation to enable the creation of content within node forms via modal dialog screens.
